Spicy Shredded Beef Sandwich (tchiktay)

-          2 cups onions chopped

-          1 cups pepper chopped

-          1 lbs beef cooked and shredded beef

-          1, 8 oz jar Ay! Ti Manman Mango Pikliz

-          1 hot peppers sliced thinly

-          2 tablespoons of olive oil

-          Juice from 1 juicy limes





1.    Add oil and heat up pot

2.    Add hot peppers, stir

3.    Add peppers

4.    Add onions

5.    Add meat

6.    Add lime

7.    Stir and let mix while stirring for 7 minutes on low heat

8.    Stir in pikliz

Pull the Pork, Squeeze the Mango Sandwich


There are few things in life better than a sandwich, you can make it formal for a dinner, this is a recipe for a pulled pork sandwich replacing BBQ sauce with Sauce Zansèt

Makes approximately 5 servings

 Ingredient List

-          3 tablespoons paprika

-          1.5 tablespoons granulated sugar

-          1/2 tablespoon onion powder

-          2 tablespoon salt

-          3 tablespoon pepper

-          Kosher salt and coarsely ground pepper

-          1 10 -to-12-pound boneless pork shoulder or Boston butt, rinsed and dried

-          12 soft hamburger buns, split

-          8 oz. of Sauce Zansèt

-          14 oz. of Pork Stock

-          8 oz. of Ay! Ti Manman, Mango Pikliz

Tools You’ll Need

-          Oven

-          Oven dish

-          Knife

-          Large BBQ Fork


Preparing the Pork

1.    Mix the paprika, sugar, onion powder, salt and pepper in a bowl.

2.    Massage onto the pork.

3.    Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 2 hours and up to 1 day.

Cooking the Pork + Making the sandwhich

1.    Heat oven to 300 degrees F or 150 C

2.    Put pork shoulder into baking pan and cover with aluminum foil

3.    Cook for 6 hours

4.    In a small pot, combine Sauce Zansèt and pork stock to a slight simmer

5.    When meat is tender, use knife and BBQ fork to thinly slice pieces of pork

6.    Prepare sandwiches by putting meat, adding Sauce Zansèt, topping with Ay! Ti Manman Mango Pikliz

SSTS (Spicy, Sweet, Thick & Smooth) Dip


This is a way to use your Ay! Ti Manman Mango pikliz as a dip for items that can’t easily pick up the onions, peppers and mangos slices, e.g. motzarella sticks.

Makes approximately 6 servings

Ingredient List

-          8 oz jar of of Ay! Ti Manman

-          ½ purple cabbage

-          ½ teaspoon of salt

-          4 oz of vinegar

-          1 cored habanero or goat pepper (optional) (keep the seeds if you can handle the heat)


Tools You’ll Need

-          Large Spoon

-          Blender

-          Serving Bowl


1.    Add ingredients into blender, blend until a chunky applesauce like texture. You may have to stop the blender and push some of the contents down with a wooden spoon. 

2.    Pour into serving bowl and use freely as dip

**Make sure to thoroughly clean your blender with diluted bleach and boiling water or your next smoothie will smell like habanera. 

Faux Fancy Haitian Feta Steak Sandwich


You gotta love comfort food, this is a spin on a Philly Cheesesteak, with feta cheese to make it a little bit more “fancy.” A perfect appetizer for dinner parties or as a standard sandwich for yourself.

Servings: 6 large sandwiches, 24 mini sandwich appetizers


-          3 Medium Sized Green Peppers Sliced

-          2 Onion Sliced

-          2 Tomatoes Diced

-          2.5 lbs. of shaved or thinly sliced steak

-          Sub rolls, or baguette

-          2 tbsp. of olive oil

-          2 tbsp. of Chunk Feta Cheese

-          2 bottles 8 oz. bottles of Ay! Ti Manman Mango Pikliz or one 16 oz. bottle


1.    Season and cook beef the way you’d like it, or use this method, drain beef and set aside.

2.    Heat oil on large skillet.

3.    Sautee sliced onions and peppers.

4.    Add meat and toss vigorously with onions and peppers. Cover skillet for 2 minutes to infuse onion and pepper flavor.  

5.    Add 16 oz. of Ay! ti Manman to skillet.

6.    Toss all ingredients together.

7.    Toast bread, assemble sandwiches, add tomatoes and feta cheese to the top to balance out the spiciness.
